Amazing building progress in 2014
When we kicked off fundraising for our building project at the Celtic Arts Foundation Scotch-tasting Gala in May of 2012, we honestly had no idea that it would turn into such a huge project. So many people have helped us along the way – and with completion only a few months away, thought it would be fun to share a time-lapse video of the progress made on this project in 2014. Talk about a Happy New Year!
Thanks to Fisher and Sons Construction for their efforts as the general contractor, as well as HKP Architects for their design work and project management. This video is a little over 2 minutes in length, and features an original composition hornpipe bagpipe tune, written in honor of our new building by Mr. Bruce Gandy, of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The tune is simply titled “The Littlefield Celtic Center” (and we had serious negotiations to end up with the “proper” spelling of Center!). Thanks Bruce, for adding yet another superb tune for pipers everywhere to enjoy, and for your continued support of all that we do at the Celtic Arts Foundation!
Finally, special thanks to our friends Mr. & Mrs. Edmund Wattis and Laura Littlefield, for their incredibly generous support that ultimately (along with major help from over 100 other donors!) made this project possible!
