February 4, 2011, 7:30 pm at Benaroya Hall, Seattle, WA., This concert presents world class performers in a world class venue!  Benaroya Hall comes to life at the sound of pipes and drums during this evening of colorful and exciting music and dance. In this unparalleled venue, you’ll hear piping, drumming and fiddling in a way that you just can’t imagine. Flying fingers and tunes being played with unbelievable precision - the Scottish people have a reputation for fun and celebration – and this concert is exactly that. Whether you have just arrived in Seattle from Glasgow, or aren’t the least bit Scottish and have never heard a bagpipe before, this performance has something for everyone!

Tickets for this year's concert being held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Benaroya Hall will be available in the fall, with prices remaining the same for 2011:  General Admission tickets are $42 each, third tier balcony seats are available for $21 (plus convenience fees) and may be purchased directly from the Benaroya Hall Box Office.  Special group pricing is available with preferred seating and the special discounted price of $32 per ticket - please contact us for more information.

The performers at the Mastery of Scottish Arts Concert at Benaroya Hall are some of the world’s most award-winning musicians in the traditional Scottish genre. Multiple “Gold Medals,” and “Winners” trophies on top of outright world championships; this truly is one of the finest assemblages of pipers, drummers, fiddlers and dancers you’ll see anywhere.  Performers for the February 5, 2010 concert include our Winter School instructors listed here.

Driving Directions to Benaroya Hall:


Southbound I-5
Take the Union Street exit (#165B). Continue onto Union Street and proceed about five blocks to 2nd Avenue. Turn left onto 2nd Avenue. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your immediate left. The garage entrance is on 2nd Avenue, just south of Union Street.

Northbound I-5
Exit LEFT onto Seneca Street (exit #165). Proceed two blocks and turn right onto 4th Avenue. Continue two blocks. Turn left onto Union Street. Continue two blocks. Turn left onto 2nd Avenue. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your immediate left. The garage entrance is on 2nd Avenue, just south of Union Street.

Southbound Highway 99 (Aurora Avenue)
Take the Denny Way/Downtown exit. Keep right and cross over Denny Way onto Wall Street. Proceed about five blocks and turn left onto 2nd Avenue. Continue south on 2nd Avenue approximately 8 blocks. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your left. The garage entrance is on 2nd Avenue, just south of Union Street.

Northbound Highway 99 (Aurora Avenue)
Take the Seneca Street exit and move into the left lane. Turn left onto 1st Avenue and proceed one block. Take the next right (at the Hammering Man sculpture) onto University Street. Continue up the hill two blocks to 3rd Avenue. Turn left onto 3rd Avenue, and left again at the next block onto Union Street. Make the next left onto 2nd Avenue. The Benaroya Hall parking garage will be on your immediate left. The garage entrance is on 2nd Avenue, just south of Union Street.

Parking At Benaroya Hall
The 430-car underground garage at Benaroya Hall provides direct access from the enclosed parking area into the Hall via elevators leading to The Boeing Company Gallery. The garage entrance is on 2nd Avenue, just south of Union Street. The maximum vehicle height is 6'8".

Other Parking
Parking is also available at the Cobb Building (enter on University between 3rd and 4th Avenues), and at the Puget Sound Plaza Building Garages (enter on Union between 3rd and 4th Avenues).
