Winter School Dates & Fees
In 2011, the Celtic Arts Foundation intends to offer four sessions. Prices will be announced soon and please watch this page for updates.
Dates
- Weekend fiddle or Scottish smallpipe session, January 29 - January 30, 2011
- 5-day fiddle or Scottish smallpipe session, January 29 - February 2, 2011
- Weekend bass, tenor or side drum session, February 5-6, 2011
- 5-day piping, tenor or side drum session, February 5-9, 2011
Fees - tentative and subject to change for 2011
- Weekend (2 day) sessions, including meals; $375
- Weekend (2 day) sessions, instruction only (includes meals, no lodging); $275
- Full program (5 day) sessions, including meals; $895
- Full program (5 day) sessions, instruction only (includes meals, no lodging); $595

Every effort is made to keep the costs for programs as low as possible. Full program fees will include instruction, lodging and all meals at Seabeck Christian Conference Center. Once again there will be an “instruction-only” option for students who choose lodging off campus. We plan to offer a multi-month payment plan for our 2011 Winter School. Check back for more details in coming months. Please help us help you by registering early (and tell your friends!).
Registration deadline for 2011 is Friday, December 31, 2010. All registrations must be received by CAF by that date. No exceptions will be made.
Schedule of events
Ceilidh. Welcome/Get Acquainted Ceilidh, Saturday night, February 5, 2011, hosted by the Celtic Arts Foundation Board of Directors. Renew old friendships and meet new students at the Welcome/Get Acquainted Ceilidh. Show us what you’ve accomplished this year. Everyone is encouraged to participate, even parents! Refreshments will be provided.
Evening Seminars. End your school day with interesting and topical seminars conducted by our faculty. Forty-five minute seminars on a variety of topics will be held after dinner on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights.
Night in Seattle. We are currently finalizing the details on a downtown hotel option, and will post the details of this poplular plan as soon as possible. As usual, you may attend the Mastery of Scottish Arts Concert on Friday night, February 4, 2011 at Benaroya Hall, and then spend the night at the selected hotel with special discounted rates, and then on Saturday morning, February 5, 2011 a bus will whisk you out to Seabeck on Saturday morning in time for the 9:00AM check-in.
