Winter School Registration - 2011

Registration forms for the 2011 Celtic Arts Winter School program will become available on or shortly after September 1, 2010. Please check back on this page after September 1st for details. Thank you.

Update note as of September 1, 2010: We are still a few days away from having our registration forms posted online. The estimate is now that our registration forms will be available no later than Friday, September 10 ( and sooner if possible). We were literally out at Seabeck yesterday (Tuesday, August 31) finalizing some of the program details - apologies for the delays, but there are some really neat things in store. We appreciate your patience - please call if you have any specific concerns.

Potential students are encouraged to register as soon as possible because space is limited and the school will be at capacity. Accommodations at the school are assigned on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadline for all students is December 31, 2010.

Great low airfares are available - students are encouraged to check out options and make reservations as soon as possible to lock in those fares.

CAF is pleased to be able to offer some scholarship assistance – forms will be available on this page after September 1, 2010. Please note, for a scholarship application to be considered for the 2011 Winter School, the committee must receive a completed application by November 30, 2010.

Winter School 2011

Here is some information for Winter School 2011 that is important to know prior to completion of your Winter School registration.

For - Scottish Smallpipes and Borderpipes:

Borderpipes superstar Fred Morrison made his first appearance at Winter School in 2010, and is back heading our Borderpipe and Smallpipes session.
Dr. Gary West from Edinburgh, Scotland will be joining Fred as a second smallpipe instructor for 2011.
Special combined workshops offered for other instruments during the weekend, playing Scottish music together for pub sessions, Ceilidhs and just for fun!
Transportation package available from Silverdale Beach Hotel to Seabeck then from Seabeck to Seattle Tacoma Airport.

For Fiddlers:

Scottish Smallpipe session runs concurrently; great evening Ceilidhs and chance to play music with (quiet!!) pipes
Weekend session will include special combined workshops offered for other instruments during the weekend -playing Scottish music together for pub sessions, Ceilidhs and just for fun!
Transportation package available from Silverdale Beach Hotel to Seabeck then from Seabeck to Seattle Tacoma Airport.
Friday, January 28 room accommodations available at Seabeck which will include dinner on Friday and breakfast Saturday, January 29 (prior to Winter School check-in) making it easier for our long-distance friends.
Curfew extended to 11 pm.

Items for Pipers and Drummers:

Seabeck Conference Center exclusively ours – entire grounds available for housing, practice, and classrooms
Fred Morrison continues as in instructor
We are in the process of finalizing invites for instructors
Curfew extended to 11 pm.

Payment for Winter School

To pay all or part of your registration for the 2011 Celtic Arts Winter School program, download/print out your registration forms and complete the form, taking into account all fees as indicated. Enter your payment amount as indicated below, keeping in mind:

1. If you wish to pay for your entire Winter School registration now - enter the total in the "Payment Amount" field below, and click on the Submit Payment box. Credit card payment information will be entered on that secure processing screen.

2. If you wish to spread your payment over a period of up to three months, enter the payment amount (1/2 or 1/3 of total depending on which option you decide), and use the pull down handle to the right of the word "No" to select the desired payment amounts. Click on the Submit Payment box, and another screen appears for secure processing of your credit card.

Note: The maximum number of installments we are able to offer is 3.

	I want to pay for Winter School by making payments in installments. I will pay the above amount, once a month, for a total of months. (please enter number of months, not to exceed 3).
