Clans and Vending at Skagit Valley Highland Games – 2018

Vending at the 2018 Skagit Valley Highland Games

IMG_1123The Skagit Valley Highland Games attracts approximately 15,000 people over the course of each second full weekend of July. Clans and vendors are an important part of our event, and we do everything we can to make it a fun and worthwhile experience. Our goal is for this to be a positive and profitable experience for you, and a truly win-win situation for us all.

If you are a new vendor who has not attended the Skagit Valley Highland Games in the past, we request that you please include pictures and descriptions of merchandise for review with your application. We make efforts to have merchandise that is generally “Celtic” in theme and to the extent possible try to not duplicate food selections especially. For that reason, we also request that all food vendors submit their food menus with their application.

Our process is to review applications and make the determination on including vendors before depositing an application payment (check or credit card). If an application is not approved for any reason, we’ll return the vendor fee payment as soon as possible with notification to the applicant. The Celtic Arts Foundation reserves the right to include or reject an application for any reason.

Important note for food vendors:  New Fire Code regulations have gone into effect as of January 1, 2018. Please see this link for details. Please keep in mind that this is the first year these new regulations are in effect; that being said, we encourage vendors to make preparations as far in advance as possible. We have been informed that the link does not contain information on food vendor trucks and trailers; however, food trucks/trailers (anything on wheels) must be certified by L&I before operating in Washington state. Food truck vendors are encouraged to begin this process as soon as possible in order to have approved inspection prior to the Skagit Valley Highland Games. Food trucks/trailers without proper L&I approval will not be allowed to operate at the Games.

Summary of total vendor charges for two-day event:

  • Clan, 10 X 10 booth $ 35
  • Food, not-for-profit $200 (power included as needed)
  • Food vendor $700 (power included as needed)

Merchandise vendors

  • 10 X 10 booth $350
  • 10 X 20 booth $500
  • 20 X 20 booth $700
  • Power connection $20

Table and chair rentals are available for $35.  Each approved vendor receives four complimentary weekend passes to the Highland Games; additional passes are available for $7 each.

ALL VENDORS MUST COMPLETE THE VENDOR “TICKET” PROCESS BELOW (including Clans). Please make checks payable to: Celtic Arts Foundation.

Deadline: We encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible; however, all applications need to be postmarked by June 8, 2018. Vendors who would like to mail in a hard copy of the application are able to access a copy to Copy and Print Vendor Application.

Having a Clan or Vendor booth at the Skagit Valley Highland Games requires you to enter into a legal contract which entitles you to display/vend on Saturday and Sunday, July 14-15, 2018 from 9:00am to 6:00pm.  In return for the use of the space assigned to you by the Celtic Arts Foundation (CAF), you hereby agree to abide by all rules and regulations stipulated  in the 2018 Skagit Valley Highland Games Clan & Vendor terms with hold harmless.  Please review those rules and terms thoroughly before continuing. Please submit all required permits and certificates etc. to Roberta@CelticArts.org at the time of registration.
