The Legend of King Arthur

This lecture will trace the myths, legends and historical fragments relating to this most famous British warrior-hero, made famous in medieval romance literature as the ruler of Camelot, but whom many believe was a real historical figure who fought the Saxon invaders in the late 5th and early 6th centuries.

Ryan McKasson & Eric McDonald Guitar and Fiddle Workshop

A wonderful opportunity for guitarist and fiddlers to enjoy small-group instruction with talented musicians! In 1996, Ryan McKasson became the youngest ever to win the US National Scottish Fiddle Championship and has recorded with influential artists, including Alasdair Fraser, Natalie Haas, and Hanneke Cassel; Eric McDonald studied at Berklee College of Music under world renowned musicians such as guitarist/mandolinist John McGann and cellist Eugene Friesene, he is now established as one of the USA’s premier accompanists in many styles.

Patrick Ball, Lisa Lynne, and Aryeh Frankfurter perform “A Winter Gift” Music & Stories for the Season, as they step into a magical world of Irish and English literature. The trio presents a heartwarming collection of tales and music from Celtic legend and traditional folk stories.

Each year, we bring some of the world’s most accomplished Celtic musicians from Scotland, Ireland, Canada, and the US to teach aspiring musicians. This highly anticipated program draws students from across the country and is suitable for all skill levels and ages. It is a unique opportunity for Celtic musicians to learn from some of the greats!
