The Skagit Valley Highland Games is part of an annual circuit of Scottish competitions held in the Pacific Northwest and Lower Mainland of British Columbia. As such, the quality of performers in solo bagpiping and drumming competitions, bagpipe bands, fiddling, traditional Scottish athletics (the “heavy” events) and Scottish Highland dancing is at an extremely high level.

The weekend features fun for all ages with children's activities, sheepdog herding demonstrations, beer and whisky gardens, and more.

Dogs at the Games
Typically, the Fairgrounds has a no dogs (except for licensed service animals) policy during large public events. For this reason, we would ask you to consider leaving your dog/pet at home. However, the Fairgrounds has allowed us, as a renter of the facility, a little wiggle room on the policy as we see fit for our event and you will not be turned away at our event if you show up with your dog. Please note other events at the Fairgrounds, including the County Fair, have a strict no dogs policy and you may be turned away. At the heart of the typical fairgrounds policy is protecting animals which are all inspected and vet-checked before entering the grounds during events such as the County Fair.
